Sexy Songs on the Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack

Sexy Songs on the Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack
POSTED ON January 27, 2015

With the Fifty Shades film inching closer and closer, we’re practically chomping at the bit to know more! Luckily for us, the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack will be released on February 10th, just a few days before the film itself premieres – but we don’t have to wait until then to get a peek at the track listing! Get the scoop on which sexy songs were chosen to represent the hottest film of the decade below.

As anticipation for the film has ramped up, some music from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack has slowly trickled out. A different version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” teased us in the first official trailer, while her track “Haunted” was used in the second.

Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” and The Weeknd’s “Earned It” were released this month as singles from the soundtrack, both featuring the cast in their respective videos. (Or, in The Weeknd’s case, just Ana – trussed up in some complicated rope contraption, practically nude, hanging from the ceiling. Sounds about right!)

Sia, Annie Lenox, and Jessie Ware also make appearances on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, side-by-side with classic songs by music legends Frank Sinatra and The Rolling Stones. Get even more excited for the film by checking out some highlights below, and find the full list here.

“I Put a Spell On You” - Annie Lenox

Annie Lenox’s “I Put a Spell On You” is a sultry, smoky take on the classic Screamin’ Jay Hawkins tune. Whereas his version sounds a bit manic and downright wild, Annie brings it on down to a quieter, more sensual spot, perfect for the erotic awakening of Fifty Shades.

“Earned It” - The Weeknd

The Weeknd’s smooth, dare we even say rich, vocals perpetuate a dangerously sensual atmosphere in this sexy R&B track. But the video is really what we want to talk about, because it’s very much on-point, featuring the film’s Dakota Johnson, as we mentioned above. There’s also an S&M inspired dance sequence conducted by some very scantily clad dancers, but why don’t you just take a look for yourself?

Bonus: check out this clip on the making of the video!

“Love Me Like You Do” - Ellie Goulding

This pop song almost sounds too sweet to be on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack – but the key word is almost. Ellie’s delicate vocals are the perfect complement to the soaring synths and rhythmic drums. There’s a feeling of both tenderness and domination that brings a certain couple right to mind. Check them out in the official video below.

“Beast of Burden” - The Rolling Stones

This classic from one of the most renowned bands of all time stands out as the only real rock song present. It’s no secret why this song landed on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, though.

“Come on, baby, make sweet love to me.
Am I hard enough?
Am I rough enough?
Am I rich enough?”

In the case of Christian Grey, I think we can answer all three with a resounding, “Yes, yes, yes!”

“Crazy In Love (2014 Remix)” - Beyoncé

Everyone was already familiar with Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” well before the Fifty Shades trailer came out – but we were a bit surprised to hear this new sultry version of the track recorded for the film. Calling this song unbelievably sexy might just be the understatement of the year.
